MANILA, Philippines - State-owned National Power Corp. (Napocor) is seeking buyers for roughly P20 million worth of power barge, power generators, vehicles and used oil.
In a notice, Napocor said it is selling the used facilities and items in a bidding late this month.
Specifically, Napocor will sell Power Barge No. 107 moored at Recodo Mooring site in Zamboanga City at a minimum price of P17.81 million. Bond deposit is 10 percent of the total offer price.
Also open to all interested buyers is the auction for Perkins generator sets including accessories and assorted scrap engine parts located at the Polilio diesel plant in Quezon province.
Minimum bid price is P430,900 per generator, Napocor said.
Napocor will also unload several vehicles located at Port Area in Manila, Camarin Resort in Laguna and Angat in Bulacan for a minimum price of P912,000 per vehicle.
Lastly, Napocor said it will auction a one year contract for the state-owned firm to sell waste/used oil from its Power Barge Nos. 101, 102, 103 and 104. The used oil will be sold at P18.68 to P22.35 per liter, Napocor said.
However, the used oil from the four power barges can only be sold to waste oil treatment firms accredited by the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
“Waste oil bidders must submit valid EMB-DENR environmental compliance certificate, registration permit to operate and discharge permit for its facilities,” Napocor said.
Designed as base-load plants, Power Barge Nos. 101, 102, 103 and 104 are nominal 32-megawatt (MW) barge-mounted, bunker-fired diesel generating power stations that consist of four identical Hitachi-Sulzer diesel generator units rated at eight MW each.
Commissioned in 1981, Power Barge Nos. 101 and 102 are stationed at Bo. Obrero in Iloilo City while Power Barge Nos. 103 and 104, which began operation in 1985, are moored in Botongon, Estancia, Iloilo and at the Holcim Compound, Ilang, Davao City, respectively.   source
