SANTIAGO CITY—-Rep. Giorgidi Aggabao of Isabela’s 4th district led the distribution of about 1,000 compact fluorescent lamps to families in Barangay Nagassican in partnership with the Department of Energy.
He was assisted by DOE science research specialist Thelma Agagas in handing out bulbs to help reduce their electricity expenses.
Aggabao thanked the department for allocating lamps in her district for the benefit of 5,000 households, each receiving two units upon presenting their bills.
Agagas said the DOE has targeted to distribute 3.6 million CFLs all over the country with 10,000 CFLs allocated for each congressional district.
At least 193 congressional districts along with 51 party-lists and the Deaprtment of Social Welfare and Development has availed of the free lamps.    source
