Aboitiz Power Corp. on Monday said 11 of the biggest companies in Central Luzon chose the power company for operational support.
Aboitiz Power subsidiary AdventEnergy noted the new customers are under the Retail Competition and Open Access (RCOA) regime.
The customers are Yokohama, HLD Steel Pipes, Amertron, Multi-tek, Kodec Precision,
Nidec Subic Philippines, Juken Sangyo Corp., Sanyo Denki, Nicera Philippines, Hitachi Terminals Mechatronics and EZSET Tonglung Metals.
AdventEnergy provides clean and renewable energy.
Another AboitizPower subsidiary, Aboitiz Energy Solutions Inc. (AESI), also bagged its newest customer, Philippine Resins Industries Inc.
“We are greatly honored to be chosen as partners of these successful companies. We are committed to delivering great power and contribute more to the success of our new partners,” AboitizPower Executive Vice-President and Generation Business Group COO Manny Rubio said.
Rubio noted the projects of Aboitiz Power, in line with the goal of increasing its capacity to 4,000 megawatts (MW) by 2020, to keep up with the growing Philippine economy.
AboitizPower and its partners have 3,350 MW total net sellable capacity that supplies private distribution companies, electric cooperatives, and industries.
Around 38 percent of the capacity is renewable energy, which makes AboitzPower one of the biggest RE developers in the country, the company said.
Licensed Retail Electricity Suppliers AdventEnergy and AESI took advantage of a gathering in Subic to discuss updates on the power industry, as well as the latest value-added technical services that can be provided by AboitizPower, AbotizPower said.
The services include power quality analysis, vibration analysis, and thermal scanning, as well as billing updates and services.
He noted that the companies are the first Open Access customers outside of Manila, not only of AboitizPower but of the entire industry.
