Aboitiz Power has 580 Filipino and 18 alien stockholders

As of 2020, Aboitiz Power Corp. (AP) had 598 Filipino and foreigner stockholders, who paid for 7,358,604,307 outstanding common shares, according to the company’s general information sheet (GIS). According to AP’s 2020 GIS, 580 Filipinos invested in 6,981,946,777 common shares, or 94.881 percent, and foreigners in 376,657,530 common shares, or 5.119 percent.

The GIS listed 17 billion authorized capital stock (ACS) composed on 16 billion common shares and 1 billion preferred shares. The outstanding represents 43.286 percent of 17 billion common and preferred shares shown in AP’s GIS. By removing these preferred shares, the equivalent to ACS would rise to 45.991 percent.

Erramon I. Aboitiz, according to GIS, was AP’s top stockholder with direct ownership of 1,300,001 common shares and indirect holdings of 85,597,214 common shares, for total ownership of 86,897,215 common shares, or 1.101 percent of 7,358,604,307 outstanding common shares. Mikel A. Aboitiz followed as direct holder of one common share and indirect owner of 23,844,159 common shares, for total ownership of 23,844,160 common shares, or 0.3240 percent.

The other Aboitizes in the GIS list were Enrique M. Aboitiz, 1,138,658 AP common shares, or 0.015 percent; Jaime Jose Aboitiz, 10,086,699 common shares, or 0.137 percent; and Daniel C. Aboitiz, 4,540,796 common shares, or 0.062 percent. At No. 4 was Emmanuel V. Rubio, 89,130 AP common shares.

Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc. has 5,630,225,457 outstanding common shares but has 5,694,600,838 common shares publicly traded and 5,694,599,621 issued common shares. It owned 5,657,530,774 AP common shares, or 76.883 percent of 7,358,604,307 outstanding common shares, according to AP’s GIS. PCD Nominee Corp. was at No. 3 and 4 with 1,043,046,346 common shares as record holder for Filipinos and 375,414,212 common shares for foreigners.

The others include Bahuhinia Management Inc., 18,109,100 AP common shares, or 0.246 percent; Portola Investors Inc., 13,634,856 common shares, or 0.185 percent; Hawk View Capital Inc., 13,633,657 common shares, or 0.185 percent; and San Fernando Electric Light and Power Inc., 7,931,034 common shares, or 0.108 percent.

Aboitiz Power peaked at a 30-day high of P28.20 on Dec. 17, 2020 when it opened at P27.90; dropped to session low of P27.40; and closed at trading low of P27.40. It fell to a 30-day low of P25.75 on Jan. 26, 2021 when it opened at P26; climbed to session high of P26.20; and closed at P26.

Hyper Dynamic Corp. (HDC) increased its ownership in Jollibee Foods Corp. (JFC) after it bought 104,000 JFC common shares: 2,000 shares at P180 each; 2,000 shares at P180.10 each; 2,000 shares at P180.20 each; 2,000 shares at P180.30 each; 2,000 shares at P180.40 each; 2,000 shares at P180.80 each; 2,000 shares at P180.90 each; 2,000 shares at P181 each; 2,000 shares at P181.10 each; 2,000 shares at P181.20 each; 2,000 shares at P181.30 each; 2,000 shares at P181.40 each; 2,000 shares at P181.50 each; 2,000 shares at P181.60 each; 2,000 shares at P181.70 each; 4,000 shares at P181.80 each; 4,000 shares at P181.90 each; 4,000 shares at P182 each;

In a public ownership report (POR) as of Dec. 31, 2020, which was posted Jan. 13, 2021 on the website of the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), JFC had 1,124,145,610 issued shares of which JFC held 16,447,340 treasury common shares and 1,107,698,270 outstanding common shares.

Of JFC’s outstanding, HDC was one of two principal stockholders, according to Jollibee’s POR, with direct and indirect ownership of 276,397,420 common shares, or 24.952 percent of outstanding. The other was Honeysea Corp. with direct ownership of 127,743,747 common shares, or 11.523 percent. Thus, the two principals held a total of 404,141,167 JFC common shares, or 36.485 percent.

Aside from HDC, Jollibee had seven other affiliates with JFC holdings totaling 179,756,788 common shares, or 16.228 percent. These affiliates, along with their ownerships were Winall Holding Corp., 54,140,736 common shares; Honeyworth Corp., 33,969,433 common shares; Kingworth Corp., 29,168,935 common shares; Centregold Corp., 27,430,964 common shares; Venice Corp., 17,423,735 common shares; A. Star Holding Corp., 17,160,393 common shares; and Longshore Corp., 462,592 common shares. Under “others” three indirectly owned 3,970,285 common shares. These were Jollibee Retirement Fund, 72,200 common shares; Jollibee Stock Incentive Plan, 1,323,523 common shares-MSOP (Management Stock Option Program); and Jollibee Stock Incentive Plan-ELTIP (Employees Long-Term Incentive Program).

Is JFC engaged in hiring employees on contractual basis? Just asking.
