Phoenix Petroleum leads oil price cut on June 1

By Lenie Lectura - June 3, 2019

PHOENIX Petroleum led the price cut in petroleum products last week.  It slashed gasoline price by P1.75 per liter and diesel by P1.05 per liter.
The price rollback took effect at 12 noon on June 1.
The move, Phoenix said, was meant to provide the public with a longer period to avail themselves of cheaper fuels. On Sunday, meanwhile, Petro Gazz said it will implement the same price rollback in gasoline and diesel effective 6 a.m. on June 4.
Other oil firms will announce their respective price adjustment by Monday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Petron Corp. implemented a P6.45-per-kilogram (kg) rollback in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices effective on June 1.
Likewise, auto LPG prices decreased by P3.45 per liter, also last Saturday.
“These reflect the international contract price of LPG for the month of June,” it said.
Last week, oil firms also implemented a price reduction by P0.50 per liter in gasoline, diesel by P0.45 per liter and kerosene by P0.60 per liter.
