Nine municipalities and the capital city of Cabadbaran in the province of Agusan del Norte and Caraga region’s premier and capital city of Butuan will experience a 12-hour power supply interruption on Saturday, July 22 due to the scheduled repair and maintenance activities on the distribution lines of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).
Glory P. Rebleza, NGCP Regional Corporate Communication and Public Affairs officer told The Manila Bulletin that the power interruption is to give way to repair of structures along Nasipit, Agusan del Norte-Butuan City 69 KV line.
“We are facilitating repair and maintenance works in parts of Agusan del Norte, particularly the Nasipit-Butuan 69kv line,” she said.
The power supply interruption will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Rebleza said.
She said specific areas are determined by the affected distribution utility of Agusan del Norte Electric Cooperative (ANECO).
NGCP advised the general public to take necessary preparations and precautions for the scheduled interruptions, she said.
Engineers, technical men including linemen and workers of NGCP are already on the ground to fast-track the repair and maintenance works, she said.
NGCP will exert all efforts to restore power earlier or as scheduled on Saturday, Rebleza added.
