BACOLOD City – Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) warned consumers against fake Ceneco social media accounts.

In a public statement, Ceneco released the link facebook.com/myceneco for their official CENECO – Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. Facebook page, and ceneco.ph for the official website.

Ceneco also stated that their official social media accounts contain only coop-related news and activities.

They are also informing the public of a scheduled brownout in some areas of the city today, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Ceneco acting general manager Danny Pondevilla said the power interruptions are due to maintenance activities being done to ensure stability of distribution lines and to avoid serious damages that will result in major interruptions.

Meanwhile, in a statement released yesterday, Ceneco reiterated that persons aging 60 years old and above, below 21 years old, pregnant women, and those with immunodeficiency, comorbidities, or other health risks are prohibited to transact in their offices.

However, for senior citizens who are living alone or do not have any younger companions in his/her household may submit a barangay certification to allow entry at Ceneco./PN
