STATE-RUN National Power Corp. (Napocor) is seeking offers for the supply and delivery of spare parts for a 55-kilowatt (kW) generator set that provides electricity in a barangay located in Cagayan province.
In a notice posted on its Web site, Napocor’s Small Power Utilities Group (SPUG) said that it has allocated P255,000 for the supply and delivery of mechanical spare parts for the 55-kW diesel generating set that energizes households in Barangay Minabel in the municipality of Calayan.
Parties interested in the auction will have to pay a non-refundable fee of P1,000 to secure bidding documents.
A pre-bid conference has been scheduled on Jan. 14, and the auction on Jan. 28.
OUTSIDE THE GRID
In April last year, Napocor awarded an P85.8-million contract to Thermopower, Inc. for the supply of 14 diesel generator sets with a capacity of 600 kW each to nine areas served by SPUG.
Specifically, three generator sets were deployed to provide additional capacity in Basco in Batanes, and Larena in Siquijor, while two generator sets were brought to the municipality of Lazi, also in Siquijor.
The remaining generator sets were distributed to six other municipalities, namely:
• Casiguran in Aurora;
• Lubang in Occidental Mindoro;
• Kalamansig in Sultan Kudarat;
• Siasi in Sulu;
• Sitangkai in Tawi- Tawi; and
• Tablas Island in Romblon.
