MANILA, Philippines – The Supreme Court has ordered the Department of Energy and the Energy Regulatory Commission to respond to the complaints filed against them for allegedly allowing the recent power rate increase by the Manila Electric Co. (Meralco).
In giving the order, the high court denied a motion filed by the Office of the Solicitor general that sought to prevent the ERC and DOE from explaining their position. source
