Energy commission: Power cooperative rates pass through us


THE Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) Director Ellen Ebcas assured the consumers that all items stated in the monthly electricity billing of Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) passes through their approval.
Ebcas with other ERC officials were in the province last Saturday and had a dialog with electric consumers facilitated by Councilor Carl Lopez.
Ebcas said that all the items stated in the billing of Ceneco are scrutinized by the ERC.
She said that all the power sales contract of the electric cooperatives also pass through the approval of ERC.
Ebcas also confirmed that the .11 centavos increase sought by Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corporation will reflect on the billing of all electric cooperatives in August with the billing to be received by the consumers on September this year. (Teresa Ellera-Dulla)
