OIL COMPANIES are cutting the prices of gasoline, diesel and kerosene products this week, ending the month of June with four straight weeks of price cuts.
“These
reflect movements in the international oil market,” said Petron Corp., which is
rolling back the prices of its Blaze 100 Euro 7, XCS and Xtra Advance gasoline
brands.
Gasoline prices will fall by P0.35 per liter, while diesel prices will drop by P0.20 per liter. Retailers that sell kerosene, such as Petron and Seaoil Philippines, Inc., will cut prices by P0.20 a liter.
Seaoil will be among the earliest companies that will impose the price cut at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27. Most of those that sent advisories as of 6:00 p.m. will reduce pump prices at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
Last week, gasoline prices were cut by P0.70 per liter, diesel prices by P0.10 and kerosene prices by P0.15 per liter.
This month, the price rollback was biggest during the Independence Day week when gasoline, diesel and kerosene prices were slashed by P0.80, P0.95 and P1.20, respectively. -- Victor V. Saulon
