Manila Bulletin
September 15, 2013

The government and the private sectors are seeking to answer the challenge to deliver adequate energy to fuel an economy that was planned to grow by an average of six percent annually but now appears to be growing at an annual average of seven percent over the medium-term.

PowerTrends 2013, which is organized by Leverage International in cooperation with the Department of Energy on September 25 to 26 at the SMX Convention Center, will gather stakeholders in the energy generation, distribution and transmission sector.
The business forum at PowerTrends has three major sessions. They will be chaired by former energy secretary Francisco L. Viray,  CEO-president of Trans-Asia Oil and Energy Development;  Federico Puno, CEO-president, TeaM Energy Corporation; and former energy undersecretary and NAPOCOR President Cyril C. del Callar,  Del Callar Partners Company.
The business forum seeks to obtain a better understanding of available business opportunities and regulatory risks in the energy sector.
