Napocor seeks supply of plant equipment

THE NATIONAL POWER Corp. (Napocor) is seeking offers for delivery of a generator set and oil coolers for two state-owned power plants in Luzon.

In an invitation to bid posted on its Web site, Napocor asked interested parties to bid for for the supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of a generator set for the 10-kilowatt Itbayat diesel power plant in Batanes.

The approved budget for the contract is P300,000; interested parties pay a non-refundable fee of P1,000 for bidding documents.

Besides the generator set, Napocor will also auction off the contract to supply two pieces oil coolers for the transformer of the 246-Angat hydroelectric power plant in Bulacan.

The approved budget for the contract is P11.11 million; interested parties pay P25,000 for the bidding documents.

"Bidders should have completed, within the prescribed period indicated on the bid documents, a contract similar to the project," Napocor added.

Auctions for both equipment have been scheduled on Oct. 22, with a pre-bid conference on Oct. 4.

Napocor operates and manages all state-owned plants across the country. Through its Small Power Utilities Group, the firm also provides electricity to remote areas not connected to the main power grid. -- CAMCF   source
