As tabulated by the
government-run electrification agency, the power utilities up north in Luzon
that sustained mammoth devastation had been Cagayan Electric Cooperative-I
(CAGELCO I) with P60.783 million worth of damaged facilities; and close second
was CAGELCO-II with P50.059 million in infrastructure damage cost.
Other affected electric
cooperatives include Abra Electric Cooperative (ABRECO) with P20 million worth
of knocked down facilities; then Benguet Electric Cooperative for P19.229
million; Ilocos Norte Electric Cooperative for P15.5 million; Isabela Electric
Cooperatives I and II with aggregate P13.5 million; Nueva Vizcaya Electric
Cooperative for P6.059 million; Pangasinan Electric Cooperative I for P5.0
million; La Union Electric Cooperative for P4.0 million; Kalinga Apayao
Electric Cooperative for P3.503 million; Ifugao Electric Cooperative for P3.175
million; and Ilocos Sur Electric Cooperative for P3.022 million.
The rest of the
affected electric cooperatives had been those in Mountain Province for damage
worth P2.030 million; Batanes for P1.0 million; Quirino for P737,668.00; and
Aurora for P132,865.08.
As noted by the NEA
report, the government has yet to collate the damaged power structures for
Pangasinan Electric Cooperative III; Nueva Ecija Electric Cooperative II (Area
1); Zambales Electric Cooperative, Laguna Electric Cooperative; and Batangas
Electric Cooperative II.
