Aboitiz to help expand Bataan resin plant

Aboitiz Construction, Inc. (ACI), the construction arm of the Aboitiz Group, has partnered with Philippine Resins Industries, Inc. (PRII) to double the latter’s polyvinyl chloride resin plant capacity in Bataan.
PRII’s resin plant expansion, an 18-month project, includes a combined package for the structural, mechanical, piping, and civil works expansion of the plant, doubling its capacity from 100 to 200 metric tons per year.
With this expansion, PRII will be able to better serve the domestic market. PRII is a repeat client as its first plant was constructed in 1998 by ACI (then known as Metaphil).
“We are confident that ACI will be able to commit to and deliver on this project. We are giving our full commitment to RISQ (reliability, integrity, safety and quality) as we always do with every project we undertake,” ACI chairman Jaime Jose Aboitiz said.
ACI is one of the most reliable and respected industrial contractors in the Philippines. It is one of the few Philippine contractors with a very wide range of experience in major engineering and construction projects.
The firm is capable of doing work from conceptualization to execution and commissioning, from earth moving to marine structures, from petrochemical to word-class resorts, from warehouses to office buildings and more.
It has a regular workforce of over 600 engineers, technicians and administrative professionals supported by a ready pool of over 5,000 skilled personnel.
Workforce is continuously built through partnerships with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, schools and skills training centers, as well as various barangays through mobile skills training.
