Oil firms will slash the price of
diesel and increase the price of gasoline products effective on
Tuesday.
In separate advisories, Pilipinas
Shell, Flying V, Phoenix Petroleum, PTT Philippines and Total Philippines will
reduce diesel price by P0.10 per liter and jack up gasoline prices by P0.30 per
liter. There is no movement in the price of kerosene. Other oil firms are
expected to follow suit.
Most of the oil firms will implement
their respective price adjustment at 6 a.m. of September 20.
“This is to reflect movements in the
international petroleum market,” oil firms said. On September 13, gasoline
prices went up by P0.40 per liter and diesel by P0.30 per liter.
A week before that, or on September
6, most of the oil companies implemented a decrease of P0.50 per liter in
diesel and P0.35 per liter in kerosene.
