National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) warns the public of a scam concerning Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)-related projects.
Reports reached NGCP that an unauthorized person going by the name of Maryam Niamir-Fuller, representing herself to be a “Director of NGCP’s Project Office,”is going around and promising local governments and barangays infrastructure projects.
This person falsified documents and took advantage of certain public officials by receiving an amount allegedly as part of the follow-up and facilitation of the project.
Implementation of NGCP’s CSR projects are done professionally and no fees are required from any beneficiary of public official. To guarantee authenticity of communications, please ensure that you are dealing with a bonafide NGCP employee or NGCP-authorized representative, which may be confirmed by his/her official identification card, uniform, or other authentic documents.
“Report suspicious persons and activities, please contact the nearest NGCP office, or text 09178791364 or send an email to corpcomm@ngcp.ph,” NGCP said.
